Sioux City Schools bringing internet to students to learn at home
It's estimated about 1,500 households in Sioux City will need internet service for the new school year. Now, the district is working to get them the devices and "hot spots" so students can learn virtually under the district's hybrid learning plan. The school district has bought MiFi Hotspots to distribute. "T-Mobile is the company that won the mobile quote for our mobile devices and they are able to deliver them in the first week of September," said John Pritchard of the SCCSD.
